Doria LaPorte is a Human Resources Professional with 10+ years of progressive experience in various roles for both private and public sector organizations, including HR areas specializing in employee & labor relations, human resource compliance, recruitment, training, employee development and benefits. She holds a Bachelors of Business Degree majoring in Human Resource Management with a minor in Psychology and has obtained a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation from the Society of Human Management (SHRM). She is currently employed as the HR Manager for the City of Jackson and enrolled in the Extreme Ownership Academy through Echelon Front.

Throughout Doria’s career, she has engaged in various functions of HR, always with a mindset set towards understanding how the organization best succeeds to include partnering with leadership to drive and deliver on combined HR principles and business strategies. Doria is passionate about process improvement, change management, being intentional in work and life and the immeasurable business benefits obtained from building effective work relationships within organizations.

In her spare time, Doria enjoys the great outdoors with her husband, three children and English Lab “Bunsen” to include the operation of their family-run 40 acre farm that practices natural forms of green cultivation when raising pasture raised beef. Some of her other hobbies include gardening, poetry, ART, canning jam, DIY projects, hosting celebrations, and ballroom dance.

FAVORITE MOVIE: I have many “favorites” in life. Pretty in Pink, E.T, and the Color Purple are a few that come to mind.

FAVORITE VACATION SPOT: I LOVE TO TRAVEL! Currently, I will say Colorado. I lived there for a time. Mountains and red rocks call my name!

SOMETHING MOST PEOPLE DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU: I love to go on motorcycles rides with my husband and have my own dirt bike.
